Responsibilities* Communicate and coordinate with the appropriate staff members to ensure thorough preparation for all functions
* Plan appropriate menus for camp’s various groups, focusing on guest preferences, nutrition, budget, and appearance
* Oversee and participate in preparation, cooking, and serving of all meals required for up to 300 guests * During meals, oversee all food related areas until guests have been fed and food stored
* Train and manage all kitchen staff and volunteers in a professional, safe, respectful and Christ honoring way
* Maintain and make recommendations for annual budget
* Maintain all ordering within budgetary guidelines / manage inventory
* Place all kitchen equipment on a deep clean and maintenance schedule.
* Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe kitchen environment
Pay$12,000.00 - $20,000.00 per year

Other DetailsPosition Purpose: LeTourneau Christian Center is seeking a mature believer and qualified Chef capable of helping build the ministry of LeTCC for the glory of God and the benefit of His people. The Chef will oversee camp’s food service department with the intent of ministering to our guests and staff through the development and implementation of professional menus, policies, food service, and leadership.

Financial Package: Stipend, Housing, Utilities, Meal Plan, Amenities, Paid Leave Total Financial Package is valued at $32-42,000. Financial Stipend consists of $12-20,000 dependent on experience, education, job description/responsibility, and family dynamics.

Other Job Duties
* To be a spiritual mentor and example for kitchen staff and volunteers
* Be aware of all applicable State of New York Regulations; keep current with any required certification(s)
* During slow season, be available for other non-food service related responsibilities
* Attend administrative staff meetings
* Fulfill on-call responsibilities * Receive CPR and 1st Aid training in accordance with state regulations

Qualifications
* Education in Culinary Arts or Appropriate Experience
* Be a faithful Christian with fruit to show one’s faith in Jesus Christ
* Be willing to work 6 days a week during summer months, mid-June thru September
* Be able to sign in good faith the LeTCC Statement of Faith.
