Support Mission BBQ with preparation of side dishes and desserts for catering events/orders through mobilization of participants in Culinary Vocation.

TitleCulinary Training Specialis/Shepherd's Door
Responsibilities• Train participants in Culinary Training Program/PRM Coffee Cart in order to develop participants with real life work skills.
• Oversee daily operations of Shepherd’s Door kitchen to include but not limited to; nutritional meal planning and preparation of participant daily meals, scheduling, cost control, waste management, food procurement and inventory control, managing health and safety standards as per County Health Dept., OSHA and Servsafe guidelines.
• Mobilize volunteers through overseeing of placement, training and supervision of volunteer staff and meal hosting groups.
• Work in collaboration with PRM’s Burnside Food Service Coordinator to maximize efficiency, keep costs low, keep quality up and maintain PRM food service standards.
• Maintain good stewardship of food donations provided through the coordinated effort of all PRM sites.
• Support The Women’s New Life Ministry by communicating participants progress within the Culinary Training Vocation.
• Oversee the development of all Mission Bar-B-Que side dishes; maintain quality control; develop new recipes as needed/requested.
• Lead program participants at catered events for Mission BBQ as needed
• Support PRM and NLM staff in coordinating and providing food for staff trainings, events and holidays.
